I...didn't do anything. I didn't even notice at first, but all I accomplished out there was nearly getting eaten. Shinji shot down those mobile suits, Shinji killed the Twelfth Angel after it ate him (his own fault, but if I had been closer...) and that fucking Dummy Plug System walked all over the one that beat me. What the hell is even up with that system? Evas need humans to pilot them...they need me to pilot them! Is Ikari trying to replace us all with mechanical dolls now? And the way it rampaged...it acted more like an Angel than something someone was piloting.
I'm not going to accept this. We shouldn't need goddamned Mobile Doll Evangelions when there's at least one perfectly good pilot here. If that's what I can expect for "backup"...I can't let myself lose again. My pride is at stake, peoples' safety is at stake, NERV's reputation is at stake...and even Shinji and Suzuhara...I can't let something like that happen again. Not ever.
So, I won't lose again. This time was a fluke. We'll never need Dummy Plugs again because regardless of what happens to the others, I'll...I'll always be there to save the world myself!

* Asuka can be found in the gym, doing the normal red-themed pilot thing and pummeling the hell out of practice dummies and punching bags, as well as practicing with various Eva-related weapons. She'd be in the simulators, but starting Eva simulations always involve talking to NERV people first, and she really does not want to deal with any of them now. *
