so my flowers died (bad sign for any future puppies of mine) but i totally blame my condo for getting insanely hot during the daytime (it basically bakes in southern exposure sunlight all day).  even though gerberas only require weekly watering, they've been drying out and needing every-other-day watering ( Read more... )

SF is a pretty cool city sometimes. Yesterday, they filled a hilly section of Fillmore Street with 200 tons of snow and made it into a two-block ski jump in 85-degree weather.
