yay, google finally came out with their
beta calendar! i'm all for integration. it has the SMS notifications and sophisticated sharing/invites i've liked in other calendar companies, plus integration with gmail. sucky thing is, it's incompatible with Norton Internet Security so whenever i want to edit an event i have to disable.
for balance, yahoo came out with their new
beta maps! it has the features you've probably forgotten you always wanted from a map service, like multi-stop routes and live traffic status overlays and what side of the street your destination is on. and local search integrated into the multi-stop route function better than ask.com's multi-stop route + local search (very clunky).
for ingenuity, this guy Kyle started with
one red paperclip and traded it for a fish pen, and kept trading each thing until now he has one year in Phoenix with free rent of an apartment and a roundtrip flight within N. America. he's going to keep trading until he can get a house. i'm subscribed to the
oneredpaperclip syndicated feed.
