In Brief

The weekend, as with all weekends in college, began on Thursday. My art class went to a gallery opening in the south end, which is an amazingly cute, very Boston-feeling part of town. The opening was classy. There was champagne, leather jackets, and a lot of pretentiously artsy conversation. Afterwords, we went for Vietnamese in China Town and then home to Tufts. Friday was a blur of naps and parties, culminating in an attempt to be asleep by midnight so I could get up for the fencing tournament on Saturday at 5 am, an hour I don't want to know exists, much less be up to see. Anyway, I saw the sun rise on Saturday, fenced all day, watched the sun set, waited around for other people to fence, and got back to Tufts around 10:30, too late to see the step show or The Decemberists. As for the tournament, I did all right. I finished 30th out of 65 ot 70, so I'm happy. After getting back, I was up until about 4:30 hanging out in a friend's dorm. Met some interesting people, tried some interesting stuff. It was good. I spent all of today working, and will probably be up late writing a paper.

All in all, my days have gotten very predictable. I wake up, am tired, am busy, procrastinate, do work, hang out, and then sleep. The details aren't really important.

Thank God for my friends.
