The pain my mom was having that took her out of rehab and back into the hospital? Gangrene. She had a bunch of gangrenous colon removed from the right side of her abdomen, and now has a colostomy. She came through the surgery, but it's too soon to say what the final outcome will be. With all the ins and outs of the hospital she's had in the last 2 months, I guess my instincts were good to tell my brother THIS was the time to fly in from California.

I'm cried out, numb and exhausted. Thank you with all my heart to everyone who's dropped me a note, lit a candle or said a prayer.
