and so i m home again.
it was only a week, but i must give this family camping excapade some credit. hehe
for one, it wasn't one of those completely isolated ones, we brought some old fam friends along
Falmouth, Cape Cod, Mass. was a quaint little town, but knowing my family, we as always found something to do.
For once we skipped the typical touristy stuff, instead each day was spent at a beach (Old Silver Beach was the best!!) playing tennis at the local high school, and chilling at the campsite.
Piotr tought me how to play Texas Hold'em which was fun, and one night we saw acopella at a church "downtown". I loved it!! the guys were AWesomE. I almost wished i had a decent voice, it looked like soo much fun.
But the part that made the trip half decent was meeting new people, Ben, Casey and the girls. We hung out and entertained ourselves with a volleyball and watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics at the musty gameroom at the campsite. But then the guy that works there made us leave because the room was only open till 10.
I dont know if it was just this camping area, but i had never even thought about meeting the owners of the campsite, let alone celebrating the guys 124123434 birthday.
Well we did. Lou Tessier, the owner had a big birthday party for himself, so the bunch of us decided to crash it..I felt kind of bad but there was free food so i couldnt resist. Well the senior population didnt seem too thrilled to see a bunch of insolent teenagers on their front lawn, and to top it all off, Ben and Piotr decided to make off with a whole gallon of icecream. Thank God nobody saw us, or pretended not to. So yeah, then they stashed it in some dumpster and forgot about it. Hehe. Silly boys.
Well apart from nagging parents and a downpour on the final night, things went pretty smoothly.
But Ben and Casey, who happen to live in Maine, (those jerks) made the week. Thanks guys!
