You know what, you're right. I should update more often. Its just that in between school work and finals and college visits and work and my social life (some life that is hehe) i just havent quite found the time...fine, i lied. If i wanted to i wouldve found the time, except stuff thats been happening has been too personal to post, but hey! i ve finally found something to talk to you all about. COLLEGE.
yep i know all the seniors are looking forward to that, as am i. Actually thats far from the truth, because lately i ve been visiting a bunch of universities, and the more i look into them, the more confused i become. today i visited rutgers, the state university. yeah.. it was enlightening. as silly as it sounds, of the billions of times i ve been in new brunswick i never actually checked the campus out. Its funny how so many people undermine rutgers, it is a public Ivy after all, and it is nicer then it seems after all, who knows maybe i will go there for the next four years of my life, maybe i wont. Anyway, the tour was loooooong. As is tradition my mom and i had to get there a full 30 minutes later then the starting time, but that was no biggie b/c the "show" started 30 minutes late anyhow. The place (Student's Center) was packed...so after a cheesy slideshow we piled into four CHARTER buses that would transport us throughout rutger's extensive campus(es). Well our bus broke down so we boarded the Rutger's student transport bus instead... the tour guide was loud and "artsy" (little miss theatre girl, in short, she was loud and obnoxious. (no offense to drama people). The bus tour was tolerable but everything slowed when we had to sit through the presentations of two professors. One professor discussed Roman chariot racing to a greater extent then i would ever care to know about, while the other one picked apart the stages of DNA flask labeling and storage. The highlight of my day at Rutgers was running into Polish folks, (what a surprise) a girl from East Brunswick High and her mom who started chatting it up with mine. Her older bro and sis are in Mcgill University which i thought was awesome! Overall, the school is nice, but there are so many pitfalls to Rutgers U that i m not sure the tour was able to eliminate. Apart from Rutgers, last week i checked out Mcgill, BC, BU, and Clark. Boston and MOntreal are awesome cities. I fell in love with both of them, so those are the other schools i'm considering. GOod Luck to all you guys concerning college searches, i know i need all the luck i can get. Speaking of which, time to hit the books . C y'all later.
