credit union experiences

Well, I am done with Meriwest. They screwed me with a credit card, or rather the company that they chose to provide a credit card screwed me. However, they only lost my business because they would not call me back when I requested a call. When the Envoy was paid, I just went down and closed the account.
Funny, my next attempt to get a CU was Keypointe. They sucked worse. They had so many policies and proceedures that it took three trips to the CU to get our account open, and then the first time I tried to make a deposit of checks made out to M, all properly endorsed, they would allow me to deposit them because some piece of paperwork had gotten lost. I asked them, "you won't let me deposit these checks"
Nope, sorry Mr. Anderson.
My reply, ok, but I can close out the account then right?
"Yes, you can Mr. Anderson"
OK, let's do that and 10 minutes later I walked out with two of my three accounts closed. I did have a CD, that I didn't want to mess with until it matured. I closed that guy out yesterday.
So here is the kicker. We opened an acct at Tech CU, "there is a 30 day hold on the funds when opening the acct." OK, this is a long term account... Three weeks later I show up to deposit a check, I want to split it between two accounts. "sorry we can't do that, there is still a 30 day hold on the acct." What!?, we can deposit the check but we cannot split it between accounts.
Now I'm pissed, and quickly running out of CUs in the south bay. So I take a deep breath, deposit the check and move on. Two days later I get an email, "take our poll" "how did we do"... I cream Tech CU in the response, and in the "anything else field" I type I'd like a phone call to discuss your lousy service"... No phone call, but I do get an automated email.. "Thank you for the survey, 'we heard you'" I just laughed and replied, you may have heard me but you didn't listen, I want a call. Well to my surprise I did get a call and the guy was very apologetic, said that the branch was mistaken and yes I would be able to split my checks and sorry that happened, and was pretty good. Although I do have to say that I am not impressed with Tech CU Contact Center... at least I didn't have to close out the damn accounts.
