I saw the tree! It's made out of rock so I don't know if it really counts as a tree anymore...[Ooh, or it could be a new species. A Rock Tree. Native to Johto.] But if you sprinkle water on it it'll smack ya so watch out, okay?

Aha. It is a sentient being, but it is made of rock? I can see how that cannot be classified as a tree.

And it dislikes water, you say?

Yep, it's a Pokemon. And there's a whole lot of them.

[She nods-something about this woman makes her get straight to the point...] My friend Fang poured water on it and it jumped up and smack! Right in the shoulder! It can throw boulders too! Pretty neat, huh?

[She approves of this getting to the point business. So much.] ... of course, I would not use the term 'neat' to describe this superhuman feat. However, I will say that for a rock creature to do so, it is very impressive.

Yeah! It chased us too! I was taking a video and it wouldn't leave us alone until we were almost to Goldenrod. It has a cute face though so I think I want to catch one of 'em. [She's told you all she knows. She will stop getting to the point now.] You think a regular Pokeball would be okay or would I have to use a great one?

[................ she actually entirely fails to see the relevance of that particular piece of information. BUT SHE FEELS LIKE HUMOURING YOU since you were actually useful, so--] Having a 'cute face' is a poor reason for your choice in pokemon. However, it does sound to be relatively competent.

Perhaps a great pokeball would suit the situation better. After all, it is capable of tossing boulders and there are several of them -- it would be prudent to capture it before it calls upon reinforcements.

[It's totally relevant Franziska] I know, but it's strong too...I like cute Pokemon but they're not really strong. So if it's both then it's good, right?

Don't worry, I wouldn't go alone! When I go to catch it I'll bring along my friend. [Considering said friend almost got her ass beat twice by the things Vanille isn't about to run off to go fight a group of Sudowoodo.]

[She considers this.] I suppose if it fulfills your intended criteria, then there is nothing wrong with the venture. Of course, if it is both 'cute' and strong, then it would be the optimal outcome.

And is your friend the alleged 'Fang' who poured the water upon the rock-trees and was subsequently 'smacked'?

Right. The...optimal outcome. [Franziska you talk weird]

[Vanille nods] Yep. Her Pokemon are stronger than mine. We didn't know about the water thing when she poured the water though so it's not her fault!
