I skipped my lessons today to play around in it. And I built a nice snowman in the field by the house~ Mother was less than pleased to find out that I had wasted my time, but after a short snowball fight she was smiling again.

It is a shame I missed the funeral, as I heard there were several who attended. My condolences to the extended family and such. Matters out of town needed to be taken care of.

I am surprised there was no heir named, but surely the matter will sort itself out.

Besides that little incident with the fire, it went pretty smoothly for a funeral. It was beyond depressing. Everyone was so quiet and respectful. And there were so many flowers! I guess the king would have been happy to see how many people showed up.

So...it seems the funeral preparations have started already. A whole lot of people from around here are picking flowers to show how much they care and stuff. Even my mother is doing it.

I, er, I offer my condolences, and - and...Wow, I'm really bad at this type of thing. I just can't mourn completely over a man that I didn't even know.
