Author’s Note: So, it turns out I can’t read/watch/listen to anything without making it into J2’d goodness! So yes, this is the J2 remix of the Disney classic Aladdin (my favourite movie as a child). Also this is a work in progress but I am very close to being finish. I will be updating chapters once a week so stay tuned.

“Jensen! Jensen!” Governor Morgan calls out from the mansion.
Jensen signs, threading his fingers through his dog’s fur; he knows what his father is going to berate him for, just like every other week whenever a lady was brought to him accompanied by her brother or father Jensen has turned them away. It’s not like he didn’t like the girls, they were pretty and very well mannered and they are always everything that Jensen should be looking for, but he is so sick of keeping his mouth shut and doing everything that he is supposed to.
“What did you do? That girl just left in tears and a- and wet!” His father says.
Jensen looks down fighting himself to stay neutral, biting back his laugh and pushes back his thin wire-framed glasses as they slip down the bridge of his nose slightly.
“Jensen!” His father yells when Jensen doesn’t reply.
“I didn’t do anything!”
His father raises an eyebrow and sits on the fountains edge beside his son. “Why don’t I believe you?”
Jensen smirks scratching his dog behind his ears in encouragement, “Rascal got a bit excited and sorta, maybe, kinda, pushed her into the fountain.” He can’t hold it back any longer, he laughs full-heartedly and his father cuffs him across the back of his head. Rascal walks over to Jensen placing his head in his lap. He loves his dog; it’s huge and completely unconventional to have a Newfoundland hound, it’s more like a bear than anything else but with the mansion’s huge courts and rooms Rascal has plenty of space to run around.
“Jensen, you have got stop sending these girls away, you have to be married soon.”
“Why? Father!" He whines, "I hate being forced into this, if and when I do choose to get married I want it to be with someone that I’m… compatible with. I don’t want my happy ending story to be ‘her brother brought her to me and I thought that she was okay, so we got married.’”
“You don’t have much longer to find this 'happy ending' that you speak of, you have to be married by your 18th birthday. It’s your duty as the governor’s son!”
“Well maybe I didn’t want to be your son!” Jensen shoots back, standing up and stalking across the lavish garden.
His father gets up with a sad sigh and catches up to his son, “Jensen…”
“Why didn’t you just leave me at that orphanage?” Jensen doesn’t really mean what he’s saying; he’s more than grateful that Governor Morgan and his wife took him in as a toddler and Jensen remembers being just as sad as his father when his mother died, Jensen loved her just as much as if she were his birth mother but he’s pissed and he really doesn’t want to talk about his love life right now.
When Jensen turns around to face his father he feels horrible, he knows that he shouldn’t pull the orphanage card, it’s unappreciative and Jensen doesn’t always resort to this.
“Sir, I’m -” Jensen starts.
“It’s okay Jensen.” His dad says and Jensen knows that he was completely out of order.
“I’m sorry. It’s just I’ve never done anything on my own, I’ve barely left the house, I don’t think I have ever been outside the gates!”
Governor Morgan looks at Jensen sadly.
“I don’t have any real friends! I’m seventeen and have no social life and you’re expecting me to rush into marriage!” Jensen sits on the edge of the fountain again and sweeps a hand through the cool water.
“You have friends,” His father says as though Jensen is just being a silly child. “Roberta and Julia and Jonathan, and what about Benjamin?”
Jensen scoffs, “Can’t forget Benny. Yeah, the help. They’re my buddies; we party every Saturday night down at the clubs.” Jensen scrubs a hand over his face, “Father, I need friends my own age!”
“You don’t know what it’s like out there Jensen, it’s dangerous for people like us, there are people who would love to take my place and those kinds of people will do anything it takes and that includes you. I can’t let that happen.”
“I’m hardly a child, father. I need some freedom; I can’t be kept inside of these gates like an animal!”
“Well, I’m sorry. Until you get married and have your own house and guards I intend to keep you safe.”
Jensen glares at his father, the man wasn’t listening to him. Why did his father have to be inconsiderate about all this? It’s not like Jensen is a five year old girl, he’s seventeen for christsake.
“But sir,” he tries again.
“Enough. Jensen.”
“Wha -”
“I said, enough, this conversation is over. You are to be married be married within 90 days.”
Governor Morgan storms into the mansion and Jensen is fuming, “How - how could he do this to me?!” He yells making Rascal pick his head up lazily from the warm cement. The dog stares at him.
“What? You wanna tell me to do something now too?” Jensen asks, Rascal just continues looking at him, Jensen holds his gaze and out of nowhere Rascal barks, loud and gruff, making Jensen jump.
Jensen yells letting all of his frustration out, kicking and throwing his arms around in an attempt to relieve his annoyance.
When he is done Jensen walks back into the mansion and begins his plans for freedom. He couldn’t live like this anymore, he was sick of being controlled; he was tired of people picking his clothes, his food, his goddamn friends or, for that matter, his partner! He couldn’t be shut away like this anymore.
“Jensen,” Kane’s smooth, shudder-inducing voice rings inside of Jensen's ears with an eerie sound making his skin crawl, he can hear the disturbing grin in Kane’s tone and when Jensen turns around he squares his shoulders, straightens his back and finds the calm, stoic demeanor that he had mastered over the last couple of years.
“Hello, Kane.” Jensen greets dismissively.
His fathers ‘right hand man’ slides forward, a fluid like movement that brings him a foot away from Jensen, Kane stares down at him, smiling slow and sly that makes his eyes shine with menacing thoughts. Jensen shifts from one foot to the other when Kane doesn’t say anything. “Kane,” Jensen sighs wearily, “What is it that you want?”
The man quirks an eyebrow and huffs amusedly, lifting his right hand to curl his long fingers around Jensen’s shoulder. Kane’s thumb slips under Jensen’s shirt and Jensen tries not to show any weakness as the man rubs his skin under his clothing. “I just hate seeing your father so frantic about this whole…marriage thing.” Kane’s hand squeezes his shoulder and Jensen narrows his eyes at him, hoping that Kane will be able to comprehend his hate for the man. Even though Jensen’s father hasn’t realized that Kane doesn’t give a shit about the people of Texas or his father for that matter but Jensen has, Kane only cares about himself and by the way that Jensen has seen him treat his loyal servant Carlson, he was sure it was borderline cruelty.
“Really?” Jensen scoffs, “You actually give a damn about my marriage proposal?”
Kane’s face moulds into a twisted innocence as he nods attempting to look somber. “If you don’t pick a lady soon, we will have to resort to desperate measures.” The corner of his mouth curls upward.
Jensen breaks eye contact with the man, he can’t look into his eyes without feeling physically sick, but when he flicks his gaze back to Kane the man smiles and Jensen leans forward and lowers his voices, “I don’t want you to have anything to do with my marriage, do you understand?”
Before Kane can nod Jensen shrugs his hand off of him forcefully and stalks away.
~*~*~*~*~
Jensen packed his bag and pulled on some of his cheapest track pants and an old t-shirt from the back of his wardrobe, pairing it with a black jacket and his glasses. He makes his way to the back gate. It was 1am and Jensen knows that everyone in the overly large house will be fast asleep, including the servants which makes Jensen's getaway go just the way he planned.
