i'll be right this after that.
but holy shit this is a lot of gardening. my hands and feet are brown and still i haven't touched a thing on my gardening to-do list. still more tilling, still more potting, still more digging, more blood meal, more manure... more and more and more and then weeding. next year we are going to try to eat just from our garden, so this year it is all about square foot gardening. i am so far behind on my planting schedule and the weather isn't helping either since we aren't having a spring. we are just getting our spring crops ready to be harvested and it is time for the summer crops, but there isn't enough room. tomorrow i am building a raised flower bed for the watermelon, cantaloupe and the squash. and some containers for the composite, so that the composite pile might actually start working. oh shit i need to find a place for the cilantro, leeks and beets. lucky the beets don't take up much space since i am just growing them for the tops.
plus i start working at the farmer's market this week. i can't wait to get more strawberries. have to get them while they are season. i can't eat that shit from the supermarkets. but i am tempted to buy pounds of them and making jam, but jam is a lot of work.
got straight A's this semester. but that isn't much to crow about. however, my film papers have gotten me a scholarship. my teacher is going to use them as hand outs for his class next year. and that was the class i was going to drop because i thought that i had no idea what i was doing. writing those papers did not come easy.
