The good news is, I figured out what was making my laptop bluescreen: it was BlackICE, of all things. Won't be using that anymore.
The bad news is, the headphone jack on my laptop is fucked because I stepped on the headphone cord and jerked the connector. Way to go Matt, you fucking clumsy tool. To get this fixed I'd need to send it to Acer, which would take about 1-2 weeks. I can't do that because I need this for work, so now I'm stuck with it like this 'til at least Xmas. Adding insult to injury, I'd just finished ripping ~70% of my CD collection to the hard drive, too. Fucking great.
