Quick and Easy Cherry (or whatever) Crisp

OK - this is my friend Brett's recipe:

1 can pie filling
1 package jiffy cake mix (single layer white or yellow)
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 - 1 cup (at your discretion) of sliced almonds

Grease large square baking dish
Pour in Pie filling
Sprinkle cake mix over pie fillijng
Drizzle melted margarine over all
Sprinkle on sliced almonds
Bake for approx. 45 min (watch and don't burn the almonds) at 375 degrees.
