Squeeing: I came at this from the YYH side (I'm not really into Firefly), but I found this enjoyable since it really is creative. It uses Kurama's kitsune form ingeniously, and is the kind of crossover that works because of the amount of detail used. Very much liked Kurama's characterization.
Excerpt: “We have a visitor. In the cargo hold. Wanted off of Persephone, found us.”
“How long have you known this?” the captain pressed. He needed to know who was on his ship and how they’d gotten there. Strangers usually meant trouble, and trouble out in the black usually meant potential for dying.
“Not long,” River told him, continuing to trace patterns with the pie filling. “He’s very quiet, sneaky. Almost didn’t hear him thinking. Then he got hungry.”
