Sailor Moon ExpandedAuthor: multiple
Fandom: Sailor Moon
Genre: Drama, Epic, Humor
Pairing/Character: Entire SM cast and originals
Summary: A complex universe of interlinking stories continueing the Sailor Moon legend.
Squeeing: This is a rec from the "good old days" of fandom. Someone recently got me back into Sailor Moon, and I'd almost forgotten about this universe (even though I did contribute a story to it way back in 99).
What I enjoy about this series is the complexity. It's about fifty stories by newarly twenty authors that interweve to form a very complex canon. Some of the stories are better than others; I recommend starting with Mark Latus and "Dark Kingdom Refugees" and going from there - and do NOT read anything by Ben Harrison. All of the writers have various strengths and weaknesses.
The original characters created are complex enough to stand on their own, yet the story remembers that the senshi are the focus of the universe. It took me about a week to reread everything on the page; there's a lot.
Excerpt: I think we'll be all right. The Kingdom is gone, the Sailor Warriors are gone and we remain. There's no reason things shouldn't go smoothly.
