It is with great sadness that I write tonight, with the passing of Mr. Eko on the amazing show Lost. I was so crushed to see him go and be killed off. I suppose that in his mind he was at peace with himself and his life. However, I can't help but express substantial sadness knowing that though there may be flashbacks or perhaps dream sequences with him in, I realize that he shall never again be a part of what unfolds on the island. He will be missed on the show to say the least. I do have my pride and joy Sawyer which pleases me. Viewing the preview for the upcoming weeks would scare the uneducated Lost viewer about the security of Sawyer's life, but I have the faith that he will survive through it all. If the worse did happen and Sawyer was killed off, I must admit that the hiatus for the show couldn't come at a better time because I would find myself less interested and less drawn to the show. He was my rock throughout the series and to lose that is to lose my focus on the show. Everyone has their favorites and I'm sure at least on some level can relate, perhaps not as strongly. I do enjoy the show as a whole but I would just struggle in enjoying the show as much, as might even lose motivation to view it. All of this is pure speculation of my reaction as there is no knowing actuality as it is in the future and uncertain.
I suppose that I should treat this entry like any other, and push on through the tough times. Eko is in a better place...tear.
In other news, I recently registered for Spring classes. I'm pleased with my schedule and was pleasantly surprised to be able to better lock in a timetable for graduation. I had a chance to look over what remains in my way before graduating and I must admit it's quite encouraging. I may be done quicker than I anticipated, which as all of you know is a good thing for a number of reasons. Any who here's a breakdown of my course load for next semester:
ECO 201 Principles of Macroeconomics
ECO 202 Principles of Microeconomics
GEO 345 Political Geography
PSC 261 State & Local Government
PSC 347 Comparative Politics of Western Europe
Of all of the classes I am most excited for PSC 347 because of the governments included in the course, Great Britain and Italy are among them. Most of you are aware of my love for most things British, so this is a class that I look forward to with great anticipation.
Something else that has me excited is the performance of Central Michigan's football team. They're undefeated in the MAC and have a shot at winning the conference and going to a bowl game. It's a peculiar how passionate I have become for our football team, I found myself so hyped up at the games and excited for every home game. I think that if we go to the Motor City Bowl, that I just might have to purchase tickets and support our fine team. Fire up Chips! Yeah I said it, as uncool as it may be I mean it.
Well I'm going to abbreviate this entry because the fact of the matter is that my Phoenix Suns are getting ready to tip off and I'm just not inclined to miss them. Stevey Nash, man o man sheer brilliance.
