"Whaddya mean someone tore down the decors and bulletins again?" Ryohei demanded indignantly on the phone as another one of his employees sniggered about one thing or another. He waved the guy away and turned in his seat, glancing at the paperwork the man had left behind. Today's delivery report. Right!

More importantly: "Well, put them back up!" he rumbled. "It's a waste if they're all over the floor all the time!"

He was going to have a word with management about this or something. Clearly damaging Vongola properties..!! The nerve!

He was starting to get amazingly sick of hearts, and what made things far worse than they already were was the fact that they were everywhere in HIS building. Hibari Kyouya stalked through the corridors leading up to his office, occasionally reaching out to tear down the decorations that he come across. It was much too early in the morning for this sort of thing, and the fact that he always woke up with a low blood pressure-induced headache was not helping.

It was at that moment that Ryohei turned the corridor into the other management staff's offices, striding through the much-abused hearts and other decor on the ground.

"Aha! So you're the one destroying company properties!" he exclaimed, not really recognizing Hibari from all the way over THERE. Anyway, too much paper flying around.

There was only one person who could have a voice that loud and annoying first thing in the morning. Hibari ripped one last heart off the bulletin board and straightened up, cocking an eyebrow in Ryohei Sasagawa's direction.

"And what if I am?"

Oh, whoa, it was Hibari. Not that Ryohei was afraid of his superior officer or anything, but Hibari was known for being unbudgeable. (Kinda like him, if he thought really hard about it.)

Well, anyway. The former boxer walked over and pointed at the piece of paper forlornly floating to the ground. "That took up manpower and effort to put up, yanno! The least you can do is ignore it if you're not one of those lovey valentine day types!"

"I can't ignore something that's exploding everywhere in my general vicinity and beyond my area."

Hibari brushed past Ryohei, padding himself down for the keycard to his office. "Keep the hearts away from my hallway, or I'm going to keep ripping these things out."

Not budging from his spot, Ryohei's eyebrows pretty much climbed up to his hairline. That wasn't a difficult request to fulfill. Cleaning up, though... "Well, okay, but I'm not picking the mess that you made up! And my department ain't doing it either."

Turning on his heel, he started making his way back to his own office. HAH! Let that Hibari ass have hearts all over his floor for the rest of the week.

Hibari felt his headache growing. At least Ryohei was properly off his lawn and out of his sight for the moment though. The man kept walking, letting Ryohei's final words blow over him like a hell lot of hot air.

Not cleaning up for him? No matter. He could easily scare his aides into doing the work in his place.

Fuuta had been keeping track of the Valentine's Day decor popping up all over the place.

Though he didn't need to, really, but it was fun - besides, he had been wondering if he could add to it, and he thought he'd found the perfect opportunity when he found bits and pieces of mostly pink decor lying about the corridors leading up to...someone's office.

No prizes for guessing who, Fuuta thought, smiling slightly as he mentally took note of the amount of decor to be replaced. "Ten thousand more hearts on the way," he murmured.

"Ten thousand what?" Ryohei echoed, still a little irritated as he passed by the younger man. He and Fuuta seemed to have gotten along from the boy's first day, which pleased him to no end. THAT AT LEAST MEANT THAT FUUTA COULD DEAL WITH LAMBO, RIGHT? Or so Ryohei hoped. When people cried and paced, they tended to damage the carpets.

"Hearts," Fuuta replied, not even looking up to see whom he was talking to. That loud voice, more irritated than Fuuta had heard him yet, was bound to be Ryohei. "We could use more hearts - are you all right, Sasagawa-san?"

"We could use more hearts in their proper places," he grumbled, bending down to pick up a lonely heart from the floor despite himself. IT WAS PART OF HIS COMPANY TOO, ALL RIGHT. "Pissy asses and their damage to corporate property," was the muttered follow-up.

If Fuuta wanted to add more hearts everywhere, though, Ryohei wasn't going to stop him. After all... the younger man wasn't in his department! The realization made him grin.

Fuuta bent down as well, so he was side by side with Ryohei. "I can help, if you like," he offered, pulling the larger pieces of ripped decor into his arms. "I have two boxes of hearts beneath my desk and I'm not using them."

And almost as an afterthought, he added, "And I'm free now."

He paused, tilting his head in consideration, still picking up decors. Sad, underapprciated little hearts... "If we put them here again, Hibari will just rip it off. Maybe we should stick them up the ceiling!"

Fuuta was a comrade in his efforts to keep the office up to date with the times, obviously! Ryohei liked him a lot already.

"The pink hearts glow in the dark." Fuuta kept talking, aware that with every passing second, Ryohei could become a little less grumpy. "Those can go on the ceiling. There are red ones too, you can do whatever you want with them, Sasagawa-san."

There was no need to ask how and where Fuuta came by these hearts. He just needed them OUT of his hands, that was all.

And then Ryohei grinned. Glow in the dark pink hearts? SO AWESOME IT WAS ALMOST A SIN. Oh, the extreme redecorating he could make his department do with those...

"How do I refund you for these hearts?" he asked conspiratorily, back to his usual cheer. He resumed making his way to his office with an armful of treshed up paper in his arms. "And aside from this corridor, where else do you want them at?"
