Vacation... again?
So somehow, due to an accident of timing and my company being overly generous with paid time off but wanting it all used up before the busier part of the 4th quarter hits, I've ended up with yet another week of vacation to burn. It started today, with a perfect balance of productivity and abject laziness.
I woke up this morning mentally composing sentences related to my long suffering Sam/Gene boxing fic , so I quickly brewed some coffee and started poking at that for awhile. I think I have a very good chance of finishing it up this week-- something I've wanted to do for a long time now. :D
What else... Ah, of course. Speaking of fic, on my last vacation (which was, let's see, LAST WEEK LOL) I did successfully complete and post my entry for ficathon 2013 over at the lifein1973 comm. Was pretty pleased with how it came out, and it's been fun checking out the other entries! I've got another fic on the go related to one of my unused ficathon prompts, so that might pop up sometime soon, too. It involves an interesting meeting between Gene and kid!Sam. <3
Took an accidental nap this afternoon and woke up wanting to listen to Metallica very loudly. Not sure what this portends concerning the remainder of my enforced vacation, but I'm sure it will be interesting regardless.
In other news, the lovely gilescandy has given me the first episode of Anthony Head's newest project, You, Me, & Them to watch. Am feeling pretty relaxed and unmotivated at the moment, so I might have to pop that on and see what it's all about.
