Right, I need to get caught up before tomorrow so here we go with some quick, capslock-heavy thoughts on The Rebel Flesh (which are based on the notes I made before I saw The Almost People so there shouldn't be spoilers for that)...

• And we've not even hit the opening credits and we've already melted Marshall Lancaster in acid! This is going to be horrible, isn't it?
• Muse in the TARDIS! And a dartboard apparently. The Doctor's doing the same thing he's been doing for the whole series, scanning Amy and worrying. And now he's trying to get rid of them. Something to do with scan, maybe?
• "Oh, we've gone all medieval." / "I'm not sure about that." / "Really? Medieval expert are you?" / "No, it's just I can hear Dusty Springfield." Rory's got this time travel thing down.
• RORY, DON'T PUT YOUR FINGERS IN ACID. We have enough trouble with you as it is.
• "Accident? Yes, I know. Accident." OK, he definitely knows where they are. "There are people coming. Well, almost." / "Almost coming?" / "Almost people." What's he playing at?
• Urgh, The Flesh is creepy. DOCTOR, DON'T PUT YOUR HAND IN THERE.
• "For want of a better word, 'ow'!" :D
• "I thought I was going to die." / "Welcome to my world." LOL. Love Rory looking after her.
• AAARRRRGGGHHH SHE'S FLESH AND A BIT JUST CAME OFF WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING NOW? WHY IS HER HEAD COMING THROUGH THE DOOR, WHY? Also, that's the second time this series that something horrific has happen when a character goes to the toilets. This is how phobias start.
• CLEAVES IS ONE TOO! "This is early Flesh. The early stages of the technology. So much to learn." He does know what it is! Or where it's from, maybe? Is it some stolen alien stuff or something?
• AMY, DID YOU NOT HEAR HIM SAY NO MORE WANDERING OFF?
• "I am Jennifer Lucas! I remember everything that happened in her entire life. Every birthday, every childhood illness. I feel everything she has ever felt and more. I'm not a monster! I am me. Me, me, me!" Oh, Rory. You understand exactly what that's like. No wonder he feels protective of her.
• STOP SONICING THE STUFF, IT OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T LIKE IT. AND NOW IT HAS A MOUTH. WELL DONE DOCTOR.
• "What are you doing down there?" :) He doesn't seem that worried that she's sunk.
• EYEPATCH LADY HAS POPPED IN TO SCREW WITH US AGAIN. Amy, will you please tell someone about her!?
• Good going, Original!Cleaves. Killing Ganger!Buzzer isn't going to cause problems at all. And seriously Rory, do you not get killed enough? You have to charge a woman holding a electical probe.
• "Trust me." Nah, you're all right.


• ARRGHHH GANGERS CAN CLING TO THE CEILING. And has Original!Jennifer been running/hiding all this time? She seems to be walking oddly, is she hurt?
• Aww, Rory won't leave her out there on her own.
• THE DOCTOR HAS A GANGER! WE HAVE TWO DOCTORS!

General thoughts: A good, suitably creepy opener to this two-parter. The conflict between the Gangers and the original humans should make for an interesting second half, as will Rory's little rebellion and having two Doctors around. Can't wait.
