Irene, really?

So, living in VT, a landlocked state I had this crazy idea that we'd fair pretty well when Irene showed up.

We're suffering some of the worst damage she's brought.
I'm at my boyfriends house because the roads are so flooded that I can't get home. His parents are stuck in some random shitty town because the town has been cut off from all other roads since like 11am.

The city I live near, my lovely favorite city is inacessible from the outside, no one can get in or out, and a lot of it is underwater. One of the major roads leading out of it was washing away thi safternoon, and you know it's probably gone by now.
The road I take to go to school? it's mostly underwater, in one of the town's it goes through it's washing away.
The other road I can take has a sinkhole in it by a lake.
The third, I don't have any news on so I'm hoping it's alright because I really do need to get to school.
I might have to wait until tuesday though which would suck, but if it's necessary it's necessary.
I have a few pictures of minor flooding before it even got bad.
A lot of towns have lost covered bridges and houses and cars have gotten washed away. It's nuts.
It's stopped raining mostly but it's windy windy windy. We still have power for now.
So Max and I are camping at his house alone tonight. Which would be awesome if my beloved state wasn't underwater.

I love you Vermont.
You'll be ok.

Thats the only good picture I got of VT flooding, but there's plenty more. Anyone who wants to see some crazy pictures should check out WCAX on facebook they've got coverage of a lot of the major damage.
