Ch-ch-changes
I cannot believe that I waited this long to see Bush out of office. He has literally been the only president that I have experienced in my adult life and he is partially responsible for some of the tumultuous economic hardship I have experienced as an adult. Coupled with all the bullshit I had to deal with as an American living and traveling abroad. I cannot even count how many times I had to defend myself as an American because of Bush and break so many of the accompanying stereotypes of Americans that Bush helped set. In addition, I do not even need to get into all the shiteous and inhumane things Bush has done during his time as a president. All I can say is it has been a long wait that I am happy has finally ended. I am also very happy with our new president and man do I hope that he does not disappoint.
In other news in my life. I am still in the Caribbean for another 2 and a half months. I cannot believe I am halfway through my contract. It has been one hell of an incredible experience to live, work, and travel on a cruise ship. It is definitely a feeling that combines all sorts of emotions and an experience that I will never regret taking. It is strange to split my time between two countries, well almost three because the ship is like it's own nation with it's own culture and hiearchy. I wish I had more consistent internet and could blog about it, but for the time being the technology for internet on the ship is still slow and expensive. Until then, we shall see where 2009 will take me as of now it is between the Bahamas and Florida.
