Where have I been?

Fighting a battle with my muses who insist - They flipping INSIST that I need to write a Sara/Catherine hurt/comfort story that gets all sexified and angsty.  I've got the begining and the end written.  It's the middle (meaning the sex scene) that's giving me a problem.  The interesting thing about this fic, Silver Medal Lover, is that it takes place in the current season and I am not straying from the cannon.  That means that I am acknowledging *shudder* that Sara and Grissom are married *gag*.  So Catherine and Sara's relationship in this one is a little morally...twisty.   I'm working on it.  Also despite not even being through with this story, the charecters have already told me that I'm  not finished.  It's looking like four stories worth of morally questionable CSI shenanigans.

I finally (!) purchased a new car.  It's metalic gray and it definitly has attitude.  Her name is Emily.

Part of my week last week was lost to our new XBox 360.  It's a haze of Fable II.

My Birthday was last week (24 and ugh) and it was good.  My roomate treated me to dinner and got me a couple of comics and a Batman teeshirt (yeah another one.  Coincidently, TGI Fridays in Maryville TN has lost 2 customers forever)

Where was I?  Oh yes.  Birthday comics.  The 80 page Batman comic and the first 3 issues of JSA Allstars.  The Batman was good, but the JSA comic was GREAT!  So good, in fact, that I addded it to my monthly pull list.  I had to drop Powergirl to make room, but I think it was a descent decision.  Though I love Amanda Conners art and Gray and Palmiotti's  writing, the JSA creative team has definitly got a hit. The real deal breaker is the Freddie Williams II art.  It is ridiculously awesome!  Also if you sit and listen to the Raging Bullets interview with him, you really catch how much passion he puts into his work.

I also picked up Blackest Night Wonder Woman 3, Blackest Night The Question, Blackest Night Catwoman and The Widening Gyre issue 4.  Sweet Batwoman's bra, those are some great books.  If I have to pick a favorite I'll say it's gotta be Blackest Night Catwoman.  The twist at the end is great, especially for long-time Catwoman fans.  I happen to have the entire 90s run and about halfish of the last run and some issues of Gotham City Sirens.  You could say I'm a fan.  I made the mistake of dropping Sirens, though, before I read this book.   I dropped it in favor of Birds of Prey...and now I'm probably going to pick it up again.  The twist at the end, damn that twist!  Also the art was great.  Finally, say what you will about Kevin Smith but Widening Gyre is a really great Bruce Wayne Batman story.

I'm done now, I've  got to be at work in 30.  Blargh, work.

rant, sara/catherine, catwoman, jsa allstars
