Holy Poo, My Non-Existant Fans, my life has gotten kind of crazy lately.
I am engaged to be married...and the date is set for about a calendar year away.
But FIIIIRST!!!
I'm still saving money to pay off my old university fees so they will release my transcript so I can apply at the university I want to go to in January. I'm getting close to my goal, but I'm definitly starting to watch stock prices with an eye for selling. I also sacraficed a chicken hoping that my company's stock would soar to unprecedented hieghts. It did not...so now I'm still sitting on mediocre shares AND there's chicken blood and feathers EVERYWHERE. Seriously, though, once I finally get my transcript the real fun begins. I've been out of school for about five years and ETSU (where I wish to go) and UTC (the school I spent two years at) are on two diffrint systems for classes and grades. That means that the classes I took before may not transfer and if they do transfer there's no guarentee that they will count towards the degree I wish to persue. Then there's going back to a university setting after five years away from formal education. I want to go back, I love school and learning, but I'm a little worried that I'm going to crap it up all over again. Yay self-doubt! Not to mention that I will have to apply for loans, oh joy and rapture.
Did I mention that ETSU, and my fiancee for that matter, is 3 hours away from my current location? WELL IT IS!!! This constitutes moving, though not back on-campus for which I am ridiculously grateful. The exact logistics of the move are fuzzy at this point. Brian, my lovable but wierd sidekick and roomate, is going to school as well so that's settled nicely. It will be myself, Brian, my wonderful fiancee (the grad school hopeful!!!) and my cat all living in a Johnson City townhouse (hopefully) I don't think Jordan knows what she has gotten herself into...poor woman.
Today I found out that I have more fun things to take care of before I move, I'm having oral surgery next month...ugh. My bosses are going to LOVE giving me time off during the busiest shopping season of the year, let me tell ya!
I know what you're thinking: Okay, she's obviously been busy and hasn't been writing!
NOT TRUE!!!
My CSI muse has, once again, left me. That fickle bitch never sticks around for long anymore.
However, extended periods of time with Netflix has given birth to a new and very insistant muse: Star Trek Voyager. I know, scary right?
Also I'm STILL working on my Alice in Wonderland story...but don't know if I will ever get it done.
After I start school, who knows, though...I may go completly crazy...Well I am persuing a Bachalors in English with a concentration in Education so insanity does sort of go with the territory.
My lone complaint at this point is that my saving-for-school-money is seriously cutting into my comic book budget and BATWOMAN #1 came out this week FINALLY and I haven't even been able to entertain the idea of picking it up. Sacrafices and the greater good and all that I suppose.
That's all for me...I've gotta go do stuff and junk and things now.
