Dancing in the Street

Before the Busker Festival in Barcelona, there was another band that took advantage of the accumulating crowds. They played mostly latin/salsa kind of music and this guy in the crowd just starting busting a move in the middle of the band. They loved it and made space for him to so his thing to the music. It was pretty awesome.

I guess I was generally obsessed with photographing street performers while I was in Spain. There was an amazing breadth to the various art forms that they practiced in terms of music selection and even type of performance. They group was playing in from of Santa Maria del Mar in the gothic quarter in Barcelona. I was amazed when they pushed a piano out in front of the church and started playing ragtime/honky-tonk music.
