It's been since March 1 since I last updated. I really don't think anybody checks this, but here ya go anyway...
Let's see, March was a usual "end of the winter, beginning of spring" month. Nothing special. Spring break was the 2nd week in March. The first weekend Carrie & Gabe came to visit and we went and saw the musical "Rent". It was AMAZING. If you get a chance to see it, DO IT!! I guarentee you will love it. They stayed that night and we had a girls night - with the guys. It was fun and a great way to start out my spring break. I met my old neighbor Karen at her house in Holt on Tuesday afternoon and we spent the evening together. On Wednesday I drove to Grand Rapids to stay with my Aunt and Uncle and Kelly, Kim & Ashley for dinner. The best $10 steak dinner!! On Thursday I headed home for the weekend. As usual, my parents were having employee problems again and I was asked to work for a day while I was home to help out. St. Patrick's day fell into that weekend too. I didn't do anything seeing as I'm not 21 yet. March 21st brought baby Jackson Todd Schipper, 7lbs. 10oz. 21 inches long at 12:43PM. He's a cutie and quite the personality.
April brought a VERY busy month. Easter was on the 8th. I headed up to Grand Rapids to my Aunt and Uncle's house. We celebrated there for the afternoon. I got tons of leftovers to bring back! April 14th brought baby Katherine Grace Pomeroy, 6lbs. 2 oz. 4:30PM. I have yet to meet her, but it will be soon! The following weekends were spent finishing my final design project. There were a few all-nighters and many, many long days.
May brough another very busy month. May 1 was our final design critique. That always calls for a long day. It's a huge relief to get it all over with though! Final exam week was the following week. I had 3 finals and one test to take with in the first 2 days of the week. It was a lot of work but good to get them over with. I left for home Tuesday afternoon and was able to stay until Mother's Day. I started the human portion of my portfolio while I was home, thanks to Nicole Albrecht, Andrea Abrahamson and Trent Lundquist. They all tured out great and my thanks goes out to them again!! My Mom and Grandma followed me back down here on Sunday to stay with me and help me move into my new room. I moved 1 floor down exactly. They cleaned and moved and did so much more than I ever could have done alone. I can't express how helpful they were!! They stayed the night with me in my old room before I fully moved out. We met up with my cousin and her boyfriend for some dessert in Birmingham that night. The next day we finished moving my stuff, I checked out of my old room and checked into my new. We went for lunch and shopping for a couple hours. Then my Mom & Grandma headed home. We were exhausted. It was fun and good bonding time for us. Classes started on May 16. Not much of a break.... I'm taking 10 credits this summer and working 12 hours a week. I have class from 9AM-7:30PM on Monday's and Wednesday's. On Tuesday's and Thursday's I work from 8AM-2PM and have class from 5:45-7:30. My week days are full. I'm trying to squeeze in work out time at least a couple times during those 4 days. I also have tutoring appointments all afternoon on Thursday's until class. But, I have NOTHING on Friday's!! I'm not even scheduling work...so I can go home and/or run errands and do things I normally wouldn't have time to do. May 17 brought baby Samantha Ann Zwick, 7lbs. 12oz. born at 7:30AM. May 18-20 was the Downtown HoeDown 2007. Kelly and her friend Erin came down late Friday night and stayed the weekend with me. We enjoyed 2 days FULL of nothing but country music at the Hart Plaza downtown Detroit on the river. It was a BLAST. We saw some huge names like, Little Big Town, Josh Gracin, The Wreckers, Aaron Tippin, Joe Nichols, Hearland, Emerson Drive (who Erin and I got to MEET!!!) and many more. I went home for Memorial Day weekend. Another long weekend at home. It was nice and relaxing. I usually leave after my Thursday night class, so that doesn't get me home till almost mid-night. But, then I have all day Friday to do stuff in Ludington instead of being on the road! I met Samantha for the first time on Friday afternoon and golfed that night with our neighborhood. Hung out on Saturday and went to church and dinner with my family. Sunday we had my grandparents over for a cookout dinner and golfed again later that night. I left Ludington at noon on Monday. I had a test (already!) on Tuesday I needed to have some time to study for.
That pretty much brings me to now. I'm counting down the days until I turn 21 (82 days = 11 weeks = 2.5 months). I can't wait!!!!! I'll be heading home Macker weekend...to check out all the hott boooyyyysssss on the beach and get some sun! I'll be home the weekend after that for Allison Budreau's wedding, and the week after that for the 4th of July! It's going to be a great month full of fun things to do. I'll spend the next weekend (July 13-15) at school and the following weekend (July 20) my family is coming down for a Friday night Tiger's game with fireworks afterward. They're staying down here afterward and heading home sometime the next day. There's 9 of my family members going. It's going to be a blast. I've beeen watching all the Tiger's games. They are doing well. Not as good as we would like, but they're holding their own while we have a lot of the starter players on the DL list.
I should probably get in the shower and get my day started. Miss you all! Hope you're having a good summer! Take care and keep in touch!!
Loves.
