Strode Tower at Night
By the way, if anyone thinks I'm bragging in this entry, I'm not. This doesn't ever happen to me so, it's worth talking about.
Tonight was a very memorable night.
So, as part of Clemson Conservatives, we did some advertising around campus. We hung up some fliers, and because I'm the only girl (which I don't mind one bit ;-), it was me and one of the guys in the group hanging fliers around.
We started at like 7:30 and went to about 9:15 walking around campus, going from building to building---and for the first time in my life, I felt like I was with a guy who genuinely wanted to talk with me and be around me. We goofed off a little and I listened while he talked about Philosophy and how he kicked a guy out of a party for calling him a racist (LOL). It was just fun. We also debated about political issues and campus related issues.
What was really cool is that we went to the 4th floor of Daniel and then went out on the walkway connecting to Strode.
And he stopped, and looked around.
And he said "Man, it's beautiful out here."

Okay, I don't mean for this to sound sexist----but how many guys do you know say that? I mean, it was so cool to hear him talk about how nice it was outside and how he loved the view. It was just cool, I dunno.
Don't get me wrong, I mean we didn't have like personal life story telling all night long.
But I mean...I don't know. I feel like he actually wanted me to listen to him and I mean he looked me in the eyes when he talked to me, and he actually wanted to drag out the thing just so we could hang out.
Then at the end of the night, he walked me to my car just to be safe.
He was genuinely kind to me. And he'll never know how much I appreciate that. I won't tell him because, unfortunately, he'll get the "oh she's in love with me" impression that all guys get and make a mad dash for the door. (or maybe not, I don't know) And or course, it's not like that at all---I'm just saying he's very cool to be around.
I'm just thankful for him and I hope that he makes every girl that he comes into contact with feel as great as he made me feel tonight.
