This should so totally be a holiday. Need a day off after the day off, you know?
Something momentous happened over the holiday weekend. Something solemn and, yes, deeply moving.
I finally finished Anna Karenina. Mother duck that book is LONG. Tolstoy, you piece of work, next time decide to tell ONE story, all right? And tell it, not all the little stories around it. The novel is called Anna Karenina, not Anna and Levin and their families and friends. :P
(Oh, um, seriously, he does write some beautiful things, he really does, and kinda captures some universal truths about families and people and flaws and such. But way too long.)
Oh, and there was this holiday. Family. DDR. Memo to everyone: A deli tray is AWESOME Christmas dinner. Wow did I not miss the turkey. We should make this our new tradition. Kudos to Grace and Mark for once again going all-out and sheltering the extended family in their adorible hobbit-like Christmas cottage. (Mark has, like, more ornaments and decorations than a department store.)
Oh, for those asking: My last day at FES will be January 4. I start at MSASS on January 7.
