I *love* Chronicles of Riddick, but love Pitch Black even more. Excellent movie!

And did you see my post about the Wakefield cycle? Interested?

I think I did prefer Pitch Black, but both were great movies.

I agree about the biceps, but what I found the most interesting was the heavy-handed religious message (zealotry BAD, freethinking GOOD, nihilist UGLY). Sci-fi is such a perfect medium for addressing questions about how we think of our own religions and philosophies when we can view them from an objectively alien perspective, but finding even antiheroes who are willing to live their atheism out of the closet is rare.

And then there are those biceps, so good balance of thought-provoking and just plain eye candy. ;)
