In case you didn't know, there's an election this year! Yay! In case you didn't know, if you vote early you don't have to wait in the lines on Election Day! Yay! In case you didn't know, Johnston County has early voting this year! Yay!
I'm still registered in Johnston County and went to look this stuff up and I figured some of you are probably still registered there too.
If you aren't registered yet, actually, you can still vote. Johnston (and Wake too fyi) has same-day registration at the early voting sites. You just need to provide an acceptable form of ID when you go.
Early voting sites:
Church at Clayton Crossings (the shopping center church where Winn-Dixie was)
open Tues Oct 21 to Sat Nov 1
T-F 12-7 and Sa 9-1
Smithfield Town Hall
open Thurs Oct 16 to Sat Nov 1
T-F 8-5 and Sa 9-1
There will be massive lines at most polling places on Nov 4th, so it's probably in your best interest to go up to one of those two when you've got time. Because of course you were gonna vote, right?
