I breathe intentionally slowly. If not for my control, my breaths would be as wild as my heartbeat. I can hear it thundering in my ears, dugeun dugeun dugeun. For a long moment, Doojoon is still, his hands on my shouders, his chest pressed to my back. In that time I imagine I can feel his hearbeat, thundering as loudly as my own. But the breaths hitting the back of my neck are slow and sure. Is he controlling himself as I am? Or am I imagining something where there is nothing? Then he lets me go and walks away.
