Since it seems to be obligatory:Use a cut tag. Warn people if you've got spoilers .
(And choose the wording carefully so as not to give away what you're intending to conceal. Anyone who writes a warning saying the equivalent of "Spoilers for OoTP, because I'm not supposed to tell you Sirius dies!" will not be happy with the results.)
