soooo, my bathroom upstairs flooded two weeks ago. we replaced the toilet (oooo pressurized flush!), and i thought i'd managed to clean up most of the water. one humid and rainy week later, it looks like the carpet pad is kaput. currently carpet and pad are pulled up with fan going. i'll be doing the bleach spray routine while i scour discount flooring stores for carpet pad remnants. and a cheap knee-kicker.
manthing got laid off this week, with no job offers in the four months he's been looking. and without recent work experience and references, i'm not having any luck landing even a part-time job. boooooo. but we've got some savings, so it's not tragic. yet.
now brother is in hospital. he's been having back pain, they did an MRI and found a spot on his spine. biopsy was today. doc thinks it's an infection, so we are carefully hopeful that is all it is. and it hasn't spread to his heart. even if he will still need a PICC line and two months of antibiotic treatments.
may i courteously ask that no more problems come this way for a bit? please? my plate's full and i've got an upset stomach. i can't eat anymore.
