Last week, favorite consultant came back and I welcomed him with a new ER referral at 2:30am when he was still on jetlag.
It was a previous post operative patient of his whom he nearly went apeshit on again just like the previous issue because he was suspicious of cholangitis. Anyway, he ended up coming to the hospital and we examined the patient. Luckily it wasn't cholangitis. Before he left, I gave him his birthday gift: an American Eagle shirt with a note in the package. His wife texted me later on that he liked the shirt and was very touched by the note. Mission success! Of course, favorite consultant is a tsundere himself, so he didn't express much to me, not even a simple "I liked the shirt!". :/ I can only count with my fingers the number of times he either praised me or explicitly said anything similar to being pleased with me. Lol.
Anyway, he has a hepatectomy coming up in a few days. And I shall assist. Yey!
