Hello.  I'm Renee and my husband and I got married on August 11th of this year.  The wedding was small because, frankly, my family did not approve of him and they made me choose.  I chose, I planned, I paid, I vowed...and every single day, I wake up thinking that it was the best decision I ever made.  It may not have turned out completely perfect ( Read more... )

Give little jobs to everybody who would like to do them (which adds an awesome sentimental value for both you and them) and shop at garage sales and thrift shops. We saved so much on officiant costs by having a friend/relative do it, wedding invitations because my attendant's Mom made them for us, having everyone bring cameras and taking pictures, having a family member video tape, having the ceremony at his Grandparent's cabin (which was free), and having everyone bring food. I guess another thing that helped us what that we're not religious and we don't care for formal affairs, really, which made it easy to save money and still have a good time. The only things we refused to skimp on were my dress, the cake, my bouquet and his boutineer, and the rings and even then, the prices were pretty good.

A cousin of my husband's father did...I inquired to his Aunt as to why, and all she said was "It's my relation, dear, my relation." There's an incriminating picture of one on his tongue on the link I posted. We had six neons although one died before making it to the centerpieces, and so by the end he drank the rest of them. It's a good thing the beta was too large for him to dare to drink it. Serendipity is now in our community fish tank safe at home.

You're right. What they are is very tasty main dishes. Yum.

BTW, a simple "congratulations, here's wishing you and your new husband every happiness" would have been more appropriate.
