When the evacuations began, Axl had activated his armor call despite all of X's warnings not to-- he was a Hunter first, after all.

And when the chilling howl sent an answering scream of panic through the milling group of humans, well, there was only one thing to do.

"I'm going in! Somebody open a path for the squishies to fall back through!" Axl called to Jax and Dr. Rock before he sprinted for the teeth of danger, picking off as many drone robots as he could with well-placed shots before they could complete leaping at the defenseless humans.

Rock sighed then. He didn't want to. But he couldn't just let everyone die. And the other Hunters were out. There wasn't anyone else. And he shifted into his armor with a flash of blue light.

"You heard him!" he yelled, looking at Jax. "I'll go do what I can! You help someone find a way out!"

That declared, he left Jax to follow the orders in his wake. And he blasted through quite a few drones before catching up with Axl. "I think you can use some help!"

"Kickass!" Axl said, flashing Mega Man a grin as he dodged fire from the drones, skidding and sliding on the wet leaves before he returned fire, shifting his gun using Gigavolt's data and launching a wave of electricity at the advancing drones to halt their progress. Shielding overloaded on a couple, but the rest kept coming, forcing Axl to switch his pistols back to rapid-fire to try and mow down a few more before he had to fight at point-blank range.

"Where are they all coming from?" Rock asked, not really expecting an answer. There were too damn many of them. And they were everywhere. He was firing shots, both charged and otherwise to keep the drones at bay.

It was working to an extent, but two Hunters against the entire drone army just was not going to work. "I told Jax to work on getting the people out!" Rock yelled over the noise of the fight.

First it was 'Go to the complex and stay there' and now it was... Whatever this was. Someone mentioned evacuation to someplace else since the attackers where coming this way.

Or something, right now Jess was with some of the non-combatants and she was tapping a gauntleted finger on Videoman's PET. Thankfully the attacking 'bots hadn't gotten to this area, yet. Yeah, she was in her armor and breaking her promise to Proto to train first, but this is a situation, Proto would understand.

"Hey, Videoman?"

"Yeah?" The Navi pipes up. "Jess, what's going on? There's this evacuation bull, and I'm reading all this traffic in the Network.

"... What's going on out there? This isn't the Darkloids, is it?"

"I think Central got attacked, and now whoever it is is coming this way," Jess said conversationally, as she started to head towards the fighting. "Fighting, and I 'unno if they are. If they show up though it'll be interesting."

She picked up her pace, letting anyone trying to get away get by her, before speaking up again.

"If you want Videoman, I'll give your PET to someone who is getting out of here. But I'm staying."

"To hell with that. I don't want to get handed off to someone who'll try to abuse my amazing talents."

That's a funny way of saying 'I trust you', isn't it VideoMan? Besides, if it is the Darkloids, or there's any chance they'll make an appearance, he wants a chance. A chance at revenge.

Warning bells had gone off in her mind when the Hunters got into the Undercity and there was already a fight going on. Then Axl shouted something about an attack in the Vanishing Courts.

Ally blinked. The AV field... was gone?

She relayed the message quickly to Signas and the team underground and notified them that she was going out to help the defensive groups.

Ally came out of MHHQ shooting and boy did it feel familiar.

In a bad way.

Proto wasn't sure what was going on, and he wasn't able to find anyone he trusted either. Like his brother.

Fighting, that was something he knew to well. Too bad he's kinda squishy now, but luckily for him he got his hands on something heavy and bat-like to hit things with.

Now he just had to find someone who knew what was going on, as he beelined in the direction of Hunter HQ.

It was fairly simple, really. All civilians were supposed to get to a transport that would take them to Seaside. So she shot anything that attacked and directed people towards the hoverbus platforms- which were being guarded by the DF.

Ally turned and blinked, and shot the head off a wolf-bot lunging for the unprotected side of a human... with a bat.

"Get to the transport-" she shouted to him, pointing.

Proto just gave a half-wave to Ally before putting his weight behind a swing at another wolf-bot.

"Can't, gotta find my 'bro first!" he shouted back, making his way towards her.

When news of evacuation reached Rock, he didn't wait to be grouped and led to safety. No, he got to the top of the nearest building to survey the area.

..N-no..No! nonononono! Rock shook his head back and forth in a silent plea.

...Here we go again. Rockman said quietly. He pushed to be let out and with a defeated slump of his shoulders, Rock let him. So with the flash of his armor call, Rockman jumped into the fray.

To put it bluntly, Netto was thoroughly screwed. He had gone out to run a quick errand, leaving his PET at home so that Rockman could explore the Network while Netto was gone if he wanted. That meant that when the fighting broke out in the Vanishing Court, Netto was right in the middle of it, without a weapon, and without anyone to cross fuse with. The only reason why he hadn't been killed yet was that he was small and nimble and he'd had some hand-to-hand combat training with the Hunters.

"Eyaah!" he yelped as a drone with a battle axe nearly took off his head. If Netto hadn't had all that training, he might have panicked, but instead he ducked out of the way. Before the drone could take another swipe at him, he grabbed the axe and tried to wrestle it out of the thing's grasp.

Rockman! he silently yelled, hoping and praying that at least one version of his brother would hear him and be able to find him. Dark Rock?! Anyone! I need help!

Rockman blew up a drone before springing over another and making a mad dash toward the yell. Rock had explained the link and though he would rather not have someone else in his head, now was not the time.

Netto! Hold on, I'm coming!

He ducked some more shots and weaved around a few other bots. He didn't have time to really worry about them and simply shot at a couple as he passed.

An answer! Netto's knees nearly buckled with relief - or maybe from the stress of resisting the battle axe that the drone was now pushing down on, trying to split him in half. It was all the concentration Netto could spare to send a quick image of his location to Rockman before his knees really did give out on him.

Abruptly changing tactics, he shoved the axe to one side. Not enough. Its razor sharp edge still grazed his arm lightly. Netto hissed in pain, but he had his chance now. He turned and ran. There was no way he was strong enough to fight that robot.

Unfortunately, he didn't see the group of mettools until after he'd tripped over one of them. In what was probably not the brightest of moves ever, Netto grabbed one and hurled it at the axe drone in the hopes of distracting it.

God, he hated mettools.

Yaito was in Pride's apartment when the sudden screaming and commotion outside made her jump up and run to the window, gaping at the mess outside.

"Wh-what's going on here?!" she cried, frantically running back to her room to gather her PET, money, and whatever other belongings she absolutely needed.

"Pride!! There's something going on!!"

She ran to the door and stopped. She ran back into the living room. She ran back to the door.

"...what do I do?!" she shrieked. "Priiiiiiide!!"

A hand reached through the door and grabbed her wrist. "C'mon!" Haruka yelled, pulling Yaito toward the evacuating crowd. She had been on her way back from getting groceries. "Do you know where everyone else is?"

Yaito followed along quickly, dazed by the panic. "N-no..." she replied meekly. She hoped everyone else was already safe, but there wasn't anything she could do.

"All right," Haruka replied, holding Yaito close and trying to ignore the distant screaming. "We have to keep moving. They'll find us."
