[Jamie has settled under a tree in the forest, his satchel on his lap. Reaching inside, he pulls out a mass of cloth, carefully unwrapping it to reveal a brown egg with blue speckles - still intact. He looks at it, a vaguely disgruntled expression on his face.]

Mmzat? [Jamie half-wakes up and peers muzzily at Leela, rather confused by the question.] Hey? What creature?

The creature scratching around at your feet.

The... [He glances down at the ferret, who is now trying to drag the piece of eggshell away to hide it. It's a fairly large piece, so the ferret is just going around in circles.] Oh.

Aye, I think it might be. It's not been bothering ye, has it?

[Like a little chinese dragon about the size of one's arm charging across his lap to play with the ferret?]

[That would do it! Jamie startles awake completely, hand automatically going to his waist to grab the dirk that's there. However, when he sees Mu, he relaxes.] Mu! When did ye get here?

[There's a faint 'dooking' noise from the ferret, who is VERY EXCITED to have someone to play with and is trying to initiate a chase game with the dragon. The noise catches Jamie's attention, and turns, blinking a bit as he tries to figure out what's going on.] Hey?

Seconds ago. I think your egg has finally hatched.

[OMG SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH YAAAY! The little dragon happily indulges the ferret in a game of chase]

[He picks up the remnants of the shell from the ground and holds it up to inspect it.] I would say you'd not be far wrong on that.

[YAAAAY PLAYING! The ferret goes bounding across the floor of the forest and over these weird furrythings that are in its path. Jamie looks a bit bemused as the ferret runs right over his legs.]

It's an enthusiastic wee beastie, isn't it?

[Axel never passes up a chance to scare the snot out of someone. He recognizes Jamie from taking down the deathmatches.

Hmmm. Is that his ferret? Looks like it's just hatched-- it ought to know who its mama is.

A deep breath.]

UGH GIANT RAT! KILL IT! KILL IT!

[The ferret is definitely scared by that VERY loud bellowing, and puffs up as it backs into a little niche provided by one of the trees. It's hissing.]

[Jamie, on the other hand, is rather less scared and more along the lines of simply being instantly awake. He pulls his dirk and starts looking around for the giant beastie that's terrorizing the area. Not seeing the ferret immediately, he turns towards Axel - dirk still at the ready.]

Where is it?

[Axel raises an eyebrow. Very calmly:] Color me impressed.

Really though, there's a giant rat. And it's hiding kinda behind you.

Hey? [He's slightly confused, but looks all the same.] Och, that's just a wee ferret.

[Since there's no immediate threat, he'll put the dirk away. He knows enough to leave the ferret alone for a moment to let it calm down.]
