Wife battling cancer? Going to run for President?
Sounds like a great time to have an affair, eh?
WASHINGTON - Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards on Friday admitted to an extramarital affair while his wife was battling cancer. He denied fathering the woman's daughter. Edwards told ABC News that he lied repeatedly about the affair with 42-year-old Rielle Hunter but said that he didn't love her.
What was he thinking?
(And what is it with Democrats and their high-priced "companions"?!)
Update: Apparently Lisa Druck/Rielle Hunter had a history of drug abuse and financial problems. I guess John managed to fix one of those with his $100K+ payments to her over four months in 2007.
