Police plant drugs at house, then storm in and start shooting

Don't think it can't happen to you. How well do you know your local law enforcement leaders?

After reading numerous stories such as this I've vowed never to take a strange package inside the house.
BERWYN HEIGHTS, Md. - Mayor Cheye Calvo got home from work, saw a package addressed to his wife on the front porch and brought it inside, putting it on a table. Suddenly, police with guns drawn kicked in the door and stormed in, shooting to death the couple's two dogs and seizing the unopened package.

Talk about entrapment!

Sadly, this is becoming a routine way for police to enter without announcing themselves after conveniently placing illegal goods inside your home.

Then the burden is on you (or anyone who survives) to prove that you are innocent.

Update: The Prince George's County police chief resigned two days after this botched operation, though he still proclaims that his people did nothing wrong.

Also, the FBI and the Justice Department have declared that they will look into the raid on Mayor Calvo's home. The FBI is responding to a civil rights complaint from Mayor Calvo against the county police and county sheriff. Numerous complaints have been filed against the forces which routinely shoot dogs even when not conducting official investigations.
