Since 2010 is the last year of the decade I won't write a "decade in review" post here. However, I will note that the regulatory and political failures and scandals of the past few years continue unabated and in some cases enhanced by the election of more corrupt politicians and fully aided and abetted by the MSM.
From Enron and the tech bubble of the Clinton years through the government-enhanced housing bubble regulatory agencies, oversight entities and politicians utterly failed in their duties. Fraud has been under-prosecuted (mainly because the politicians it would implicate have been suppressing it) and the very people responsible for the various crises have been rotated in and out of federal agencies, spreading their corruption along the way.
If we want to climb back up the cliff we've fallen off of the past two years we need to elect a new class of politicians who will work as hard as the class of 1994 did to make things right. If you can't find someone worth voting for then run for office yourself! At this point it is hard to imagine that anyone could do worse than the current Congress and administration.
