ego-destroying
Instructor Mark runs the whole class through the whole of Pal Gae as a warm up. The problem is I had only ever learned the first two steps (they are complicated steps). Normally this would not be a problem, but I'd had a demoralizing couple of days at work, and feeling frustrated and overwhelmed was not what I needed. When Instructor Mark commented that I "looked frightened," I burst into tears.

Instructor Mark announces that there will be tests in March. After class, I go over to ask when mine will be.
IM: "Let's see... I don't think you have quite enough movement for the Level Four..."
L: "Wait, what?"
IM: "You haven't had your Level Three yet, have you?"
L: "I haven't had my Level TWO yet."
IM: "Well, I think you should have Three."
ego-destroying
I cannot do a damn roll and I hate them. Because I haven't gotten any better in a year, and the instructors keep giving me the same advice, and theoretically I understand what I'm supposed to do, and yet somehow I can't do it.

Instructor Jonathan: "You weren't moving like that a few months ago; I'm impressed."
fun!
Instructor Mark: "Let's warm up with nunchucks."
