I can haz social life!
A guy from my Japanese conversation group contacted me. This thursday he and some of the others are going to a Sushi place in Tel-Aviv, would I like to join? Well, I'm not a sushi enthusiast, but I suppose there will be Tempura there as well, and besides, maybe the sushi will surprise me. I heard the chef of that restaurant has actually learned the art of sushi for several years in Japan.
Separately from that, one of the local Japanese web forum members posted an enthusiastic message about having acquired tickets for the Kodô show in Tel-Aviv, and that we should all try to get tickets and so on. At first I tried to convince my sister to go, but she can't afford it (the cheapest tickets were around $50). So I went and bought a ticket on my own, and then it turned out that several other forum denizens bought tickets, so it will also be a sort of 'forum meet-up'.
So, apparently one gets a social life when one decides to learn a new language. :-)
In other news: I have been contacted by an exterminator who claims he knows how to deal with hornets, and promised to me that I won't have to pay up until the problem is actually solved. We shall meet on Wednesday. Please, let it work this time.
