6 weeks and counting

This past Thursday was the 6 week mark for Jordan. I went back to work that day, after a doc appointment on Wednesday. I'm still healing, but capable. I'm going to get physical therapy for my hands (tendinitis), although being at work and not having to pick her up all day seems to have given my hands a much needed break. My wrists aren't nearly as sensitive and painful as they were just a few days ago.

Work has been a sinch, thus far. Crime seems to have taken a break as well to let me get the hang of all this again. I missed it and am glad to be back. I love my job. How many people can say that? Juggling the baby in the morning is a new challenge, though. Having to get her ready and get to work on time is...probably not as frustrating right now as it will be a few years down the road. I wish we could have a sitter come to us and I wouldn't have to worry about all that, but we had to take what we could get. And man did we get a deal!

I am almost already down to my pre-pregnancy weight! It's all in my belly now. I have five more pounds to lose, but I'd like to lose 15. :P I can thank breastfeeding and not having time to pig out. Hey girls, you have to gain weight to lose it fast! Breastfeeding...best diet in the world. No excercise and eat whatever you want...when you get the chance.

Anyway, Jordan is thriving and loving her babysitter too. She's started to flash those gorgeous toothless grins that just make my heart melt! Haven't gotten one on camera yet, but it'll come. Paul has her today while I'm at work. Maybe he'll capture some. She has such a personality! I can't wait to see her a little older. She'll be sleeping through the night and cute as a button. Then we can just freeze time so she'll always stay my little girl. :P What? I'm acting like my parents? No way... ;)
