Home sweet home.........

Wow.....an exhausting 10 days has gone by. Exhausting but fun. I'll recap starting day 1. Thursday we flew into Vegas pretty late at night......stayed about 15 minutes from the strip. Friday we got up and started our LONG drive to the Grand Canyon. We stupidly went the long route to see Phoenix......which is nothing. We saw a cute little town called Scottsdale and shopped for a little while. But.....the cool thing about going the long route is we saw the cacti that you always think of when you think of a cactus! I know that may not be cool to anyone else...but I was excited. Saturday we got up and saw an IMAX called "Grand Canyon: Hidden Secrets". I wish they would've stayed secret because I was REALLY scared to go the Canyon after seeing it. There were snakes, mountain lions, spiders, and all sorts of scary creatures in the movie. I was freaking out. It ended up not being that bad though. We saw no animals like that which was good. I was REALLY scared at first because I'm scared of heights and then my parents kept getting close the edge in their pictures so I had to turn around while they took them because I was frightened! It was gorgeous though. Pictures really don't do it justice(as my grandmother would say.). Sunday we got up and had another long drive to LA. That night we went to downtown Hollywood. We shopped, bought some souveniers, ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It was pretty fun. Monday we went to Universal Studios which was really cool. The Backlot tour was cool because we got to see stuff like the Psycho house and The Grinch set and War of the Worlds set. That night we came out into City Walk and the world premier of The Perfect Man was there. It was so awesome! We saw famous people like Heather Locklier(sp?), Hilary Duff, Carson(queer eye for the straight guy), Caroline Rhea(Sabrina the teenage witch), Kimberly Locke(american idol 3rd place), the chic from American Dreams(don't know her name), and some other people I can't remember. I got some pictures though so it's really cool! Then Tuesday we went and toured Paramount Pictures studios which was AWESOME. We saw the set of Lisa Kudrow's new show The Comeback, the set of Nip Tuck(which I heard is a nasty show but I've never seen it), and a lot of outside taping areas in the backlot. I sat on the exact bench that Forrest Gump did!!!!! I freaked it........it was so cool. We saw Lucille Ball's dressing room. We saw the set of Mission Impossible 3 which is being built as we speak. That afternoon we went to the Jay Leno show!! He is HILARIOUS. He came and talked to us before the show and was just histerical. We saw ourselves on TV that night!!!(stephen taped it!!) Wednesday we went to the Santa Monica pier which was cool! We saw a real sea lion that was actually in the sea!!!! They aren't just in Sea World after all!!! Then we went to Manhattan Beach and stayed the night which was cool!! Thursday we got up really early and drove to Vegas. We checked into the Paris(an awesome hotel!!!!) and we went to the pool. The pool was on the 3rd floor and was right next to the Eiffel Tower. That night we went to my Aunt Bonnie's house and played with Santino(my 3 year old cousin....weird name, I know!) Friday we got up and went to get our teeth cleaned(my aunt bonnie is a hygenist(sp)) and then her and Santino came back to our hotel and we went to the pool. That night my family went out on the strip and went into the Aladdin hotel since we didn't see that one last time. We also went back to Caesar's Palace and to the Mirage because we wanted to see the tiger......which wasn't there. We had walked so far to see that tiger and it wasn't even there!!! So we just decided to go back to our hotel but first we had to go potty. Well, we turn the corner and who else do I see but Jay Leno?!?!?! He was doing a show there 2 nights and he was in the back of this hotel with a little crowd around him and so we got a picture with him which was cool since we didn't get one at the taping!! He was super funny again! Then on Saturday we went to the Forum Shops in Caesar's Palace with my aunt and cousin. You know those swirly stairs that look really elegant? Well, they had swirly escalators!!! It was the coolest thing! Then we went back to my aunt's and played w/Tino and had dinner and watched Meet the Parents. Then we had to leave :(. We had a red-eye flight at 12:25 their time but 3:25 our time. This morning we got in about 7:10 and my uncle came and picked us up. I got home and slept until 2:20. Then I went to Stephen's house and went out to eat at the Atlanta Bread Company with his family. We saw Batman Begins and then went to Brusters. A fun time. So.......that's my life for the past 10 days in a nutshell. I'm still tired so I'm going to go but I'll be updating again soon!! Love you guys!!
