The View are on fire!
Most exciting news of the day: The View have announced their new album! It's called 'Ropewalk' and will be out on the 8th of June. The first single, 'Marriage', is pretty good, if not exactly what I expected from a View/Albert Hammond Jr record - it's less 'indie rock-y', like it's moving more into slight funk territory - why is this so common nowadays for indie bands? Anyway, I'm really happy The View are back and I have high hopes for this album (I was secretly disappointed with their last two albums).
Something else - did anyone watch 'The Great British Sewing Bee'? I really enjoyed it, although I can't sew at all. I liked all the technical aspects - it's like a way more educational/less dramatic 'Project Runway' (is Project Runway still on? I used to be obsessed with that programme). I'm also enjoying 'The Big Painting Challenge', which is along the same lines but with art, and not just because it's presented by Richard Bacon and Una Stubbs.
