Numero Uno: of couse is Simon Amstell's first foray into film (liking the alliteration?).
Black Pond stars Chris Langham and is about a family who get accused of murder when a stranger comes to dinner and kills himself. Cheery stuff all round. Can't tell from the trailer who Simon is playing - probably just a minor character. Quite strange altogether though - seeing as most critics say he can't act at all. What does this mean? Delays in 'Grandma's House'? No more stand-up? Hopefully not - hopefully it just means 'more Simon, please'. Which is perfectly fine with me.
Numero...Deux? French will have to do. Frankie Boyle is
in talks with Channel 4 to make another show. Hmm. Here's hoping it's better than 'Tramadol Nights', which will surely rate near the top of lists of 'the worst TV programmes of 2010/the Noughties/the millenium/ever'.
ETA: Simon is playing an
'eccentric psychotherapist'. Extremely interesting stuff for sure.
