"The Bloody Chamber and other stories" by Angela Carter.
First read: 26-02-2008
Notes: Short stories aren't my thing, to tell you the truth, they just don't have enough character development to really touch me. But some of these aren't bad, "The lady of the house of love" encapsulated what made "Interview with the vampire" so fantastic, a monster's desire for humanity, it's desire to be less montruous and the repugnance it feels at its own actions. The various werewolf stories, especially the summarized ones that made up the werewolfian legends were quite fascinating and realistic as well. Careful analysis in literature class with Gemma Lopez can make anything fascinating so I'm sure I'll end up liking it better than I do now.
