Leaving tomorrow!
It's Wednesday, my last full day at home. It's after 1 PM and my sister is sleeping in her room, my mom is downstairs, and I'm trying to make sure the last miscellaneous stuff in my room is put away in at least some semblance of order. We're going to have my favorite meal, pastitsio! If Daddy ever calls home and tells mom where the recipe is. We're also planning on going out to see Mummy III today, which will be fun, hopefully. Tonight is the last night of sleeping in my own bed for months, my last night with my own pillow and my own blanket... It's weird to think that I'm doing this again (studying abroad). I hope it'll end better than the first time did... I'm sure it will.
I'm trying to keep myself distracted at the moment; despite the fact that I'll see him on Friday, I'm a bit jealous that he's having (girl) friend over to his house this evening... It's the first time *ever* in the time I've known him, so I'm not really sure how to react. I've seen him with male friends, and that's fun, and I've heard about visits to his (female) best friend's house, which is fine, but this is different. Oh well... I trust him, I don't know her, and there's nothing else I can or would do to change it, so I just have to wait and see. Que sera sera! I'm just being silly, but I thought I'd throw in the emotion anyway, to round out my day accurately.
In other news, Susan and George's team of guys is working hard on the house; I suspect it'll look beautiful shortly after I leave. The front door will once again be GREEN, thank goodness, although not nearly as bright a green as before, because that wouldn't match the new door hardware. Of course. The men are repairing and replacing patches of the masonite (sp?) that sides the house, then sanding, priming, and painting. The entire house is going to be repainted white, I think, and the trim... Then the shutters will again be blue and the door will again be green. In fact, the only thing changing color is the back of the kitchen, which will go from being a subtle but pretty light blue to some tint of green. We'll see! I expect I'll get pictures from Mom when all is finished.
Anyway, I ought to go. I'll get lunch and keep cleaning, and I hope to finish the middle tier of my skirt today... And bring it with me, I hope! Ah, crap, it needs a hook-and-eye, too. Hm. I'd better work on that soon.
