After a big breakfast (disapointingly, the hotel buffet didn't have an omelet station), I went into the open build salon to see if I could catch the chain mail guy, because I wanted to make another little pendant. He had a class, but he gave me the rings and let me sit in the back and work on that. Went pretty fast, since I already knew what I was doing. Then I went back into the salon and made a beaded bracelet. I would have sat there longer, maybe made a lanyard too, but I had signed up for the cardweaving class at noon. First I made a quick stop in the consuite for something to drink--and ran into a friend that I had been missing all weekend. We were only able to chat briefly before I had to run off.

Cardweaving was not what I had expected. And it doesn't work well in a class setting. One-on-one would work much better, or possibly a very small group (three or four people at the very most). I now have about two inches of woven belt-like material, and almost certainly won't bother to finish. Very disappointing.

Then it was finish packing, check out of the hotel, take the car service to the airport, and fly home. I had ordered the car service since I wasn't sure about catching a taxi at the suburban hotel; it was only very slightly more expensive than the cab I had taken from the airport and much more comfortable. The driver was early and traffic was light, so I got to the airport waaaaay early. So early that I had an actual sit-down dinner instead of grabbing a sandwich as planned. (That turned out to be a mistake; something I ate disagreed with me, and I was up several times in the night with digestive issues.)

The flight was full, getting home from the airport was only the usual hassle, I got home around 10:30 and was in bed by 11:15. Today I finish unpacking, take picture of all the stuff I made, catch up on my laundry, and nap. (I also made three more phone calls about my CPAP machine this morning; details on next rock.)

Oh! And the stained glass panel made it home safely in my checked bag. Hooray! I had padded it very carefully, but the suitcase wasn't full, so I worried about things shifting as it was thrown around.
