My computer repair class is almost over. (yay!) The bulk of the final exam, like the midterm, will be hands-on. But in this case the written component is take-home. So there's no real excuse to get any questions wrong. We got the test this week; it's due January 22, the last day of class. I started on it today, since I had the day off. I'll do more Sunday, and finish up next weekend.
It's rather distressing how few answers I was sure of--only 26 out of 80. A bunch of the rest I thought I knew, or could make a pretty good guess, but I wanted to double-check before writing them down in ink. Good thing, too: so far I had about a third of those wrong.
It's astonishing how many of the ones I didn't know are not in our textbook. (Or if they are, I can't find them. The index sucks. And the glossary isn't much better.) Some of them may be in the PowerPoints he kept sending us to read, but those aren't exactly searchable.
Google, here I come.
